Greetings to all, new to forum, seeking advice re options with alkyd primer.
I have a house recently re-clad with pine weatherboards.
Stora Enso from Bunnings. Water-based Alkyd primer.
Primer is a light yellow-ish colour, half way between cream and butter.
If possible I'd like to avoid paint and instead stain them to reveal the knots and grain to give it a rustic cabin look.
Is it possible to stain rather than paint? To a richer slightly more amber glow that brings out the grain.
What stains will work with alkyd primer?
What protectives can I use to flinish it?
Can I use an oil such as tung oil ?
Many thanks in advance for comments
